NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program offers mentored internship opportunities at 12 NASA centers across the country for sophomores, juniors or seniors in engineering, mathematics, computer science, and physical/life sciences. Must be U.S. citizen with gpa of 3.0 or better. Stipend $9000 + travel to all sites, additional housing allowances at the high-cost sites only.

Clean Energy Internship available in Washington, DC working on clean vehicles, global environment, and clean energy with activist organization founded by scientists. Also a Scientific Integrity Internship to help raise awareness about and understanding of political interference in science with policy makers, the media, and the general public. Open to those with bachelor's degrees.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1, 2008 for JANUARY-JUNE 2009 internship.
This REU program is actually a summer one, but it is during the summer in Chile: January -March. Four students will be selected. $405/week + travel, cheap housing available.
