Welcome to the second semester of calculus based physics. This class is a fun and very informative class. However to get the most out of this class and to do well on the exams it requires that you master the homework and read your text. The primary objectives are to develop your critical thinking and problem solving skills while expanding your understanding of the natural world in which we live. The course requires the use of Wiley Plus and extensive use of trigonometry and calculus methods. Grading Policy: Exam 1 20% Exam 2 20% Final Exam (exam 3) 20% Quizzes (drop the lowest quiz) 20% Homework (drop the lowest homework score) 20% Homework: Homework will be posted through Wiley Plus with deadlines provided for each assignment. You are encouraged to discuss and work on problems with your colleagues and me. Note: during the exams and quizzes you will not be allowed to collaborate. Please self register into the WileyPlus course. Exams and Quizzes: You are allowed to develop and use your own formula sheets. The formula sheet should not have problems worked out or text excerpts. During the exams extra credit will be given to those not using formula sheets. Information and Announcements I will maintain the Wiley plus course website for announcements and for posting materials.
