I am currently a physicist, and Scientific Capability Leader for Mass Spectrometry, in the Analytical and Nuclear Chemistry Division at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. My current programmatic activities include nuclear forensics, inorganic materials analysis, diffusive transport in glasses, minerals and melts, and the early history of the solar system. I also direct the ion microprobe facility at LLNL.

Prior to coming to LLNL, I was a Senior Research Associate in Geochemistry at Caltech. My primary activities there included studies of the mineralogy and isotope composition of unequilibrated meteorites, i.e., early history of the solar system, and the development of instrumentation and techniques for isotopic and elemental microanalysis.
